Study Abroad Students tend not to Teetotal

A recent study by the University of Washington finds that study abroad students may temporarily increase or even double their alcohol intake while they are away. Students who traveled to South American universities were found to have higher than pre-trip drinking habits after returning. Increases were most significant at universities in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. The majority of students surveyed returned to their average drinking habits after returning.
